How a consumer goods manufacturer replaced three disconnected stock systems with one real-time, Industry 4.0 inventory and order platform built on NextMFG.

/02 Product tour
/03 Before
The D2C store, retail partner orders and distributor orders each lived in a separate system with its own stock figure. None of them reflected what was physically in the warehouse, and none knew what the other channels had already committed.
Stock was split between channels every Monday using a spreadsheet. By Tuesday, promotions, returns and production delays had made the split wrong, and there was no mechanism to rebalance it mid-week.
The web store oversold popular SKUs, forcing cancellations and refunds, while distributors were told items were unavailable that were sitting unallocated in the warehouse — lost sales on both ends.
Finished goods from the two plants were recorded in the warehouse only after a manual goods-receipt step, often a day late. Sales teams could not promise dates on stock that was already on the production line.
An operations team spent several hours each day exporting reports from each system and reconciling them in spreadsheets — and still could not close the gap reliably enough for finance to trust inventory value at month end.
With orders, returns and stock movements scattered across systems, leadership could not see which channel was actually profitable after discounts, returns and fulfilment costs.
/04 After
NextMFG became the one system of record for stock. Every production output, goods receipt, sale, return and transfer posts to the same ledger, so available-to-promise stock is always current for every channel.
Orders from the web store, marketplaces, retail EDI and distributor portal all route through NextMFG, which reserves stock at order time and applies channel rules — such as protected safety stock for key retail partners — so no channel can oversell shared inventory.
Planned and completed production runs feed directly into the inventory ledger. Sales can promise delivery dates against scheduled output, and finished goods become sellable the moment they are booked in.
Fixed weekly allocations were replaced with rule-based, real-time allocation. Stock flows to the channel that needs it, within guardrails set by the commercial team.
Reorder points and sales velocity by channel trigger alerts for replenishment and production planning, reducing both stockouts and excess safety stock.
Because orders, returns and stock movements live in one place, NextMFG reports sell-through, returns and margin by channel and SKU without manual consolidation.
/05 Scope
/06 Outcome
Order-time reservation against a single ledger eliminated the cancellations and refunds caused by selling stock another channel had already committed.
Daily cross-system spreadsheet reconciliation was retired; the operations team now reviews exceptions instead of rebuilding stock counts.
Dynamic allocation and reorder alerts put available stock where demand was, instead of where last Monday's spreadsheet placed it.
Production output becomes sellable as soon as it is booked in, removing the day-long lag between the plant and the storefront.
A single ledger gave finance an auditable inventory value at month end without a separate reconciliation exercise.
/07 Payoff
Adding a new marketplace or distributor now means connecting it to NextMFG, not standing up another stock system.
Accurate availability and reliable promise dates reduced order disputes and short shipments to trade partners.
Customers stopped receiving cancellation emails for products they had already paid for.
With trustworthy visibility, the client reduced blanket safety stock held 'just in case' for each channel.
Channel-level sell-through data now informs production planning, linking the shop floor directly to what customers are buying.
Leadership can compare margin, returns and fulfilment cost by channel and invest where it pays.
/08 Wrap-up
Omnichannel selling breaks down the moment each channel keeps its own idea of what is in stock. By making NextMFG the single ledger for production, warehouse and every sales channel, this manufacturer turned inventory from a daily reconciliation exercise into a shared, real-time asset.
The outcome goes beyond fewer cancellations. With one trusted view of stock and demand, the business can add channels, plan production and negotiate with trade partners from a position of confidence — the practical promise of Industry 4.0 for a mid-size manufacturer.

/9 Client testimonials
Vyrazu built an AI agent that handles our entire supplier negotiation workflow. What took a team of 6 analysts now runs overnight, autonomously, with better outcomes than we achieved manually.
Their LLM-assisted migration tool cut our 18-month COBOL replatform to 11 weeks. The AI-generated tests caught edge cases our engineers hadn't even thought of. Genuinely impressive engineering.
The RAG pipeline they built pulls from 40,000 internal documents in milliseconds. Our support team now resolves tickets 3× faster and customer satisfaction scores have jumped 28 points.
We came in sceptical about AI agents in production. Vyrazu's reliability engineering approach — guardrails, observability, fallbacks — gave us the confidence to go live. Zero incidents in 8 months.
Their fraud detection model now catches 99.7% of fraudulent transactions at 2M+ per day. It paid back its entire development cost within the first 6 weeks of going live.
Vyrazu treats AI ROI as a first-class requirement. Every model ships with a business metric attached — cost saved, decisions automated, revenue influenced. That discipline is rare and exactly what we needed.
