How a growing e-commerce retailer connected three warehouses into one order pipeline — with smart routing, scan-verified picking and tracking customers can actually see.

/02 Product tour
/03 Before
Orders from the web store and two marketplaces were exported separately and merged in spreadsheets several times a day. Late orders missed the cut-off simply because nobody had exported them yet.
A coordinator decided which warehouse fulfilled each order based on experience, not live stock or distance. Orders were often shipped from the farthest warehouse or split unnecessarily across two.
Pickers worked from printed lists with no barcode confirmation. Similar products in different sizes and colours were easily confused, driving mis-picks, returns and re-shipments.
Each warehouse tracked progress in its own way. Operations managers could not see bottlenecks until orders were already late.
Tracking numbers arrived late or not at all, so 'where is my order' became the largest category of customer service contacts.
Sale events multiplied order volume, and the manual process simply could not scale — overtime, errors and late shipments all spiked together.
/04 After
The OMS ingests orders from the web store and marketplaces in real time through their APIs, normalises them into one format and places them straight into the fulfilment queue — no exports, no spreadsheets.
Each order is routed automatically to the warehouse that can ship it complete and fastest, based on live stock, delivery destination and carrier cut-off times, minimising split shipments.
Paper lists were replaced with optimised pick paths on handheld devices. Every item is barcode-scanned at pick; a wrong item is rejected on the spot instead of discovered by the customer.
Packers scan each item against the order before sealing, and the system generates carrier labels and pushes tracking numbers back to the sales channel automatically.
Operations see every order's status across all warehouses on one dashboard, and customers receive proactive notifications and a branded tracking page.
Dashboards report order-cycle time, pick accuracy, on-time dispatch and carrier performance by warehouse, so managers can fix bottlenecks before they become late orders.
/05 Scope
/06 Outcome
Real-time order ingestion and automatic routing removed hours of manual handling before an order even reached the warehouse floor.
Barcode confirmation at pick and pack stopped wrong items before they shipped.
Proactive notifications and a self-service tracking page answered customers' questions before they asked.
Routing orders to the warehouse that could ship them complete cut parcel counts and shipping cost.
The same team handled sale-event volume with the automated pipeline, without the overtime spikes of previous years.
/07 Payoff
Fewer re-shipments, fewer split parcels and less manual handling reduced the fully loaded cost of fulfilling each order.
Right items, delivered faster, with visible tracking — the fundamentals that drive repeat purchases and marketplace ratings.
Guided, scan-driven workflows let seasonal staff become productive in hours instead of days.
Managers can see cycle times and accuracy by warehouse and shift and act on facts rather than anecdotes.
Adding a marketplace or a fourth warehouse is a configuration change in the OMS, not a new manual process.
With fewer status enquiries, the support team can focus on complex issues and pre-sale questions.
/08 Wrap-up
Fulfilment fails when orders, stock and warehouse work live in different places. By building a custom order management system that connects every sales channel to every warehouse — with automatic routing, scan-verified picking and live tracking — this retailer turned fulfilment from its biggest source of complaints into a competitive advantage.
Because the system was built around the client's own channels, warehouses and carriers, it fits how the business actually works and can grow with it — one more reason a tailored OMS can outperform stitching together spreadsheets and generic plugins.

Vyrazu built an AI agent that handles our entire supplier negotiation workflow. What took a team of 6 analysts now runs overnight, autonomously, with better outcomes than we achieved manually.
Their LLM-assisted migration tool cut our 18-month COBOL replatform to 11 weeks. The AI-generated tests caught edge cases our engineers hadn't even thought of. Genuinely impressive engineering.
The RAG pipeline they built pulls from 40,000 internal documents in milliseconds. Our support team now resolves tickets 3× faster and customer satisfaction scores have jumped 28 points.
We came in sceptical about AI agents in production. Vyrazu's reliability engineering approach — guardrails, observability, fallbacks — gave us the confidence to go live. Zero incidents in 8 months.
Their fraud detection model now catches 99.7% of fraudulent transactions at 2M+ per day. It paid back its entire development cost within the first 6 weeks of going live.
Vyrazu treats AI ROI as a first-class requirement. Every model ships with a business metric attached — cost saved, decisions automated, revenue influenced. That discipline is rare and exactly what we needed.
